I have this temptation to restore an old Bronco or Scout, but at the end of the day you still have an old Bronco or Scout, safety is out the window and you will be lucky if you break even on the parts let alone time spent.

You can still get an old Scout for a reasonable price, but 1st gen Broncos are outrageously expensive. Sometimes classic car and truck market prices make sense and sometimes they're nuts..
