Hello Richard,

>> The phone company expects a widespread rollout of the service in the Mid-Atlantic region this summer, and some expect high-tech Northern Virginia to receive the service first." <<

Let me run a few locations by you.... Washington D.C, Boston, NY Metropolitan area, suburban Maryland, Northern New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia and Philadelphia. I would guess Northern Virginia will be first.

>> Also from Bill: "Westell indicated that they had one additional customer they couldn't name yet. I believe it's the GTE-ILEC and Lucent will get the contract reselling the Westell equipment." <<

Let me clarify this one... Westell has three large contracts, GTE-CLEC, BT and BA. Westell is teaming with DSC for the BA contract and Fujitsu for the BT contract. Westell seems to require a partner for those large ILEC contracts. I'm still questioning how Netspeed won that USWest contract without a systems integrator... until later.
