We will see very serious changes as the US asserts finally its interests vigorously, something that did not occur in the previous four years. History will judge them as an aberration.

A very serious competition with China/the East will result. In my view, the world will be asked to choose between top-down oppression, aggressive social control, loss of civil liberties, economic Darwinism and their opposite. My belief is that the innate human impulse for liberty will prevail. It will be a decades-long struggle.

China carries within it the seeds of self-destruction.

The role of Mexico will be very significant. It is becoming a permanently leftist narco state, but over which the US has tremendous leverage. China will surreptitiously try to exploit Mexico’s unique position. This is a tremendously important and interesting (to me) situation. If my career were beginning, I would jump into that fray headfirst.

Follow the trail of immigration and capital. Both pick winners.

That ‘whooosh’ sound you hear is the sound of capital leaving China.
