Adaptation has always worked better for apes and monkeys, we are not at an advanced enough state to engineer our way out of these messes. Unfortunately it's impossible for life to evolve fast enough to survive at the speed the Earth's biosphere is warming up. Do you have any idea how to speed up genetic change? Evolution? Rate of adaption?
