IS THERE A TRUELY RELIABLE STORAGE MEDIUM? I've seen plenty of tapes fail on various equipment I maintain (various comm equipment, switchboards, etc). Our comm group NEVER depend on ONE tape. So whats new. Anyone who depends on one backup of any critical data is nuts. Floppies, zips, harddrives, tapes, they all fail when you need them the most. Zip Vs. Floppies.....I've had lots and lots of floppies fail, and I don't think twice, just throw them in the trash.
Also, while I'm commenting, why would anyone follow IOM if they dislike it as much as Rocky? If you don't like it, get rid of it and get with your life, put your money in something else. Unless you could gain on its failure? Hired Gun?
