Santa Ana winds have been a feature of Southern California life for centuries. Before climate change as a concept was even thought about. Fire, well, it’s been around for tens of thousands of years.

And everyone knows that fires stoked by winds inevitably spread. Perhaps not everyone knows, but it is a fact.

So, would someone convince me that these two ancient features of life in Southern California were caused by global warming and that global warming therefore caused the recent fires?

I’m all ears.
