gg cox,
The depth of your ignorance is bottomless. Here is THE fundamental problem that Trudeau won't acknowledge. Trump can easily put a 25% tariff on Canadian oil because there are over 30 other countries that produce heavy crude who would love to displace Canada as a supplier.. Indeed, Trump may have delayed tariffs until alternative heavy crude deliveries are arranged. If Trudeau puts an export tax on Canadian oil, it will shut down the oil sands, but given the Trudeau climate agenda and objective of shutting down the oil sands, perhaps the Liberals see this as an opportunity to do so? This would collapse Canada's economy and provincial and federal programs. 25% tariffs on Canada, including oil, is the economic pressure Trump promised. This too would collapse Canada's economy and gov't programs and budgets. Perhaps then Albertans would beg Trump to become the 51st state? Perhaps Alberta is the prize that Trump is really after? No doubt, Saskatchewan and their uranium resources would soon follow. Without doubt, Canada is between a rock and a hard place. Vive L' Alberta Libre
