That's already happening. Trump thinks "Drill Baby Drill" will flood the market with cheap oil.

And he thinks OPEC will simply follow along, because if there's one thing OPEC LOVES to do, it's increase production just because a narcissistic dumbass told them to.

What's in it for OPEC, anyway? Those who comply will be spared the wrath of the Trump tariffs? LOL ...
