I have Sweet Freedom and Demons and Wizards on vinyl buried somewhere in storage. I admit I don’t have a lot of in-depth knowledge about Uriah Heep, but one thing that has always stood out to me is David Byron’s consistency as a live performer. From all the live recordings I’ve seen, he’s every bit as good a singer live as he was on record. His ability to stay on pitch while performing live was incredible—something not every singer can pull off. As a rock singer, David also had very good vocal range.
