Tenchu's Thoughts - DeepSeek and China's Spooking of Wall Street

I'm going to make this as brief as possible.

We should not be spooked by the news of China's DeepSeek.

It should surprise no one in high-tech that China is actively working on methods that get around the U.S. embargo on AI chips.

In the case of DeepSeek (and other Chinese companies, mind you), they are trying to build up AI data processing clusters using less powerful accelerators, but more of them.

In other words, quantity IS the quality. (Kind of like RuZZia when it comes to PooTin's three-day special needs operation.)

Whether China's AI efforts are all that close to America's, no one knows for sure. Personally I think they're one generation behind. But even that ought to be good enough for China to adapt their industries for the advent of generative AI.

Anyway, China's cheap AI model is something to keep an eye on.

And if the news somehow corrects the already overheated stock market, that can only be a good thing.

P.S. - Hopefully Sam Altman can explain this to Trump so that Trump doesn't make any rash decisions. I don't trust Herr Musk to explain this in such a rational manner.
