I think we should keep troops there and keep up the pressure until we can convince more than just Britain that it is necessary to enforce the destruction of weapons. We should also encourage internal opposition, and BACK IT, when it shows signs of succeeding. The UN agreement will end up being merely another delaying tactic, but we have painted ourselves into the corner in which we will have to accept it for the time being. In other words, No strike for now. Eventually, there will have to be an "inspection by force".
