I've been done with it for years.

But I guess you are still hanging around Cali with your mask on. WTAF. I don't get it.

My oldest niece hasn't spoken to me since the pandemic fear was in its final death throes, and I commented on how great it was to be back to normal, relieved of mass paranoia.

She went berserk, informing me that every day before she leaves for work (in an OR as a nurse) she puts on, sometimes, THREE LAYERS of masks. And went on to explain how terrible was. And I agreed, if you're putting on three fucking layers it must be terrible. Why do you do that? (The unspoken answer was, "Two layers don't do the job." )

Anyway, she quickly deleted me from Facebook, and both her kids did, too. I did bump into her a family wedding, she acted like it was normal, so did I.

To be fair, we saw it in the hospitals here (notably Houston Methodist, but a few others) and they actually fired a doctor or two over it which made big news.

Entirely virtue signaling.

Whatever, dude. You do you. I'll not try to condemn you for it.
