I used to teach an undergraduate course about how science works and have participated in scientific research in several fields of scholarship while accumulating degrees.

Once you can respond in depth to the following without referring to the internet, then I would be satisfied that you have at least a basic understanding of science. With one exception, 2000 words would be the minimum necessary to show mastery comparable to the thousands of student papers I have marked, i.e. a basic understanding of the subject.

1) Discuss Kuhn's concept of paradigms and how it applies to climate research.
2) Discuss the role of inductive and inductive reasoning in developing scientific theories.
3) How do you prove a scientific theory?
4) How are hypotheses used in developing scientific theory?
5) What is the difference between doing research and doing science?

I can without notes address these and a variety of other aspects of the topic at length. Can you?

I am a co-author on a number of papers published in reputable scientific journals, and was thanked in the acknowledgements of a number of other published papers because I helped carry out the research and analysis. How about you?

Ron is suggesting I just ignore you altogether to reduce the noise and aggravation. Maybe he's right, especially when you react like a three year old.
