It's a complicated issue but shouldn't be as it relates to children. How are some countries, states, and even some parents who themselves might be narcissists or otherwise mentally ill promoting life-altering surgeries and treatments that amount to sterilization of children who cannot even legally get their own tattoos in those same jurisdictions? At least you if you make a mistake with a tattoo there is a safe procedure for its removal. Try washing away these surgeries and treatments.

It's all rather diabolical if you look into the matter. For adults that want that for themselves good luck but letting kids decide for themselves? Just a few articles that should bring most quickly up to speed if they are unaware.

Dr. Haim is a hero, imo. This is one of the most insidious aspects of the trans movement aimed at minors. There is big money involved for the children's and other hospitals across the fruited plain performing genital mutilation surgeries on, and prescribing irreversible hormone treatments to children.
