I don't turn much into gold, but over the years I've done OK. Don't do options. Believe in time, not timing. MDT has done well for me, but now appears to be pretty fairly valued, even overvalued. I sold 1/2 of my position after the earnings came out and the stock dipped. Plan to hold the rest at least another quarter or two. Their neuroproducts division is apparently doing better than their stent division, and of course the demographics are there for the main business--pacemakers. Getting rid of an unprofitable division in a very competitive market seems a plus to me, but apparently not to others in the market. We'll see.
