BD, AFFX, & Nanogen.

I don't know that Becton Dickson has any interest in AFFX. The big company behind the picture is Glaxo Wellcom. When Affymetrix was spun off from Affymax, I think Affymax retained like 30% of the company. Glaxo later bought Affymax outright, so they now own 30% (or so) of AFFX.

Also, I just found out that Nanogen has filed an S-1. Presumably they will have an IPO soon. According to the S-1, Becton Dickinson will invest $6 million at the IPO price. (Hoechst will invest $10 million and Elan is in for $5 million.)
