I'm old fashioned. If you don't hold it? You don't own it.

By hold it I mean YOU are the custodian. Not a financial intermediary. Lost count of the stories of property of all kinds: Mink coats, Old Master paintings, yada, yada, in "secure storage" with promises up & down page after page of legalese that was stolen & never recovered.

Biggest problem I see with 95% of the people on SI is they try to treat real assets like paper assets. They're two entirely different animals especially if UR LT B&H.
