Part of my curious entry is that perhaps AMD is also "borrowing" some revenue for Q4 from Q1, like Intel did.

I was a little over-exuberant last time, in expecting the Q3 revenue to fall through into the earnings, and I think AMD's "correction" with some layoffs could represent AMD not being tremendously satisfied with that fact. There may be some cost to those layoffs too. I am not sure if anything stands out in the earnings report...
