Tariffs are another perfect example of Trump fooling the people i.e. his plan to supplant income taxes with tariffs is very REGRESSIVE, and will hit the poorest people the most.

In a nutshell, Trump plans on transferring taxes from the rich to the poor!

I don't think MAGA folks understand how Trump is going fuck them over this way.

Tariffs will fall on the people, not other countries that Trump keeps lying about, and the poorest people will pay the most.

Businesses pay the import tariffs, and then pass the cost on to the consumer.

And it is a perfect example of Trump's slight of hand.

His intention is to lower taxes on the rich and corporations, by supplanting income taxes with tariffs, basically a consumer/sales tax, the people will pay.

Sales taxes are regressive.

And he has said:" I expect the Democrats to go along with them because otherwise they will be paying much higher income taxes i.e. he intends to make HUGE tax cuts for the rich and corporations.

Is this what MAGA voted for?
