On January 21, Trump announced, alongside the leaders of OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, a $500 billion initiative to boost AI infrastructure in the US.

Bang ! It announces tariffs on semicondtuors.

President Donald Trump plans tariffs of 100% on semiconductors made outside the U.S . This will push data centers away from the United States.
The Chart shows the value chain: 76% of it is In-rack. Processors and Connectivity.
Data center operators can avoid the tariffs on semiconductors by moving abroad.

Who will be affected?
- Masayoshi Son's $100 billion risks not being feasible
- DAMAC Properties founder Hussain Sajwani, has to reconsider the $20 billion proposed investment in US data centers
- OpenAI Stargate also needs to review their proposed plans Satya Nadella says he’s ’good for $80 billion’ but might be invested elsewhere.
- The G42, Khazna Data Centers, and their buddies Sudlows are all smiles receiving this gift from Trump's tariffs.
Let's see if the president makes good on his threat.
