Dinosaurs VS Doom Mongers: Willie Soon: Time Traveler

m.youtube.com

Excellent 5 minute video of temperatures and CO2 levels for last 600 millions years

- 550 million years before present CO2 levels were 7,500 ppm vs 450 ppm today

- 550 million years before present was the age of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were around for 165 million years.

- Dinosaur extinction was caused by meteor impact, 66 million years ago, which LOWERED earths temperatures which caused mass extinction.

- warmer temperatures will not cause more deaths. The opposite is true, warmer temperatures cause oceans to release CO2 resulting in substantially faster plant growth, and this provides, MORE food for earth’s species. This results in THRIVING species on earth

- oceans act as earths largest CO2 sink. When oceans get colder they absorb more CO2. When oceans become warmer they release CO2. Oceans CO2 sink, is what controls earth’s climate

- CO2 does not cause warmer temperatures, CO2 does not drive temperature changes on earth

- temperature determines the CO2 level, not the other way around

- CO2 follows temperature changes as the ocean CO2 sink releases CO2 as ocean warms. Rising CO2 does not cause temperature change, temperature change is caused by oceans CO2 sink absorbing and releasing CO2, as a result of temperature changes.
