Bill, from Newsweek: Donald Trump's Panama Threat Starts Paying Off (Newsweek) Panama pledged to not renew their participation in China's Belt and Road Initiative. Sounds good, but what is Trump offering in return, other than a promise not to invade? I remind everyone that China made their way into Panama the "correct" way, namely buying their way in. Now Trump is using Trumperialism to force Panama into doing his bidding. This might get short-term rewards, not to mention a "W" for Trump, but long-term this will only encourage our geopolitical rivals to do likewise. Tenchusatsu
