Two points that aren't mentioned in those calculations..

1) Resale value of a used EV plummets as their battery life nears its end.

2) And multi thousand dollar battery replacement costs can exceed the vehicle's value. Look at the price of a 10 or 12 year old, low mileage Nissan Leaf, for example. Even pristine examples are just about worthless.

I've said it before and it's just my opinion, but if you have to have an EV, lease one rather than buying it and turn it in before a dying battery becomes an expensive issue..
