SIX REASONS WHY JEWS DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS

Why Don’t Jews Believe In Jesus?

John might have been writing about Wharf Rat...!

John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Rejection of Jesus Christ, Son of God is prophesied in Hebrew Scripture.

Isaiah 53:3: "He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem."This passage is often interpreted by Christians as a direct prophecy of how Jesus would be rejected, not only by the Jewish leaders but also by the broader population.

Psalm 118:22-23: "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes." Jesus Himself quoted this psalm in the New Testament (see Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17), where He identifies Himself as the "stone" that was rejected by the Jewish leaders. Christians often see this as a fulfillment of prophecy, where the Jewish leaders, despite being the "builders" of God's kingdom, reject the very Messiah God had sent.

Zechariah 12:10: "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son." This is another passage Christians often interpret as pointing to Jesus' crucifixion, where He was "pierced" in His hands and side. The mourning referenced is seen by Christians as a future recognition of Jesus as the Messiah by the Jewish people.

Rejection of Jesus by the Jewish people is part of God’s plan for salvation.
His death and resurrection are seen as providing atonement for sin.

Matthew 23:37-39, Jesus says:"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'" This passage is seen by Christians as indicating that while the Jewish people rejected Jesus at His first coming, there will be a future time when they will recognize Him as the Messiah.

John 1:11: "He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him." This verse in the Gospel of John is often cited to support the idea that Jesus, though He came as the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy, was rejected by His own people.

Isaiah 6:9-10: "He said, 'Go and tell this people: Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving. Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes.'" Jesus quotes this passage in the Gospels (Matthew 13:14-15, Mark 4:12, Luke 8:10) to explain why many of His contemporaries were not able to perceive or accept His message. This is often seen by Christians as a prophecy of the spiritual blindness that would lead to the rejection of Jesus as the Messiah by many Jews.

Put on your dancing shoes Rat and rejoice in your new life and eternal salvation...!!!
