As of Jan 31st, 2025, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) had 395.1 million barrels of oil.
Right, but the stockpile was 593.7M barrels of oil back around the end of 2021.

Then it fell to 372M barrels of oil during PooTin's three-day special needs operation. That was a drawdown of over 220M barrels, all to try and stabilize the price of oil and cut into PooTin's oil revenues.

Needless to say, RuZZia barely noticed.

Now we're still well short of the highs set back in 2010 (726.5M barrels), and Brandon for some odd reason was slow to refill what he drew down.

Trump ought to start refilling it immediately, but of course he's more turned on by trade wars and demolishing federal bureaucracy than he is about the SPR.
