neoliberal and conservative approaches have largely failed students in public schools. the msn summary statement doesn't show how immigration and second language populations have influenced the overall scores. these subpopulations typically negatively effect the overall scores used for comparison. regardless, political influence since 2001 has harmed u.s. public education, as it has restricted and misdirected public classroom instruction. so, trump's suggestion to reduce dept of education influence could improve u.s. public instruction/education/student learning.
