Tenchu's Thoughts - Falling Down 2025
I came across this screenshot from TwitterX that was posted on Reddit:

This is a perfect illustration of how completely unhinged the MAGA cultists turned out to be.
They don't give a Brandon about the price of eggs.
They don't give a Brandon about WWIII.
They don't give a Brandon about the rule of law, or the sanctity of elections, or the price of gas, or the so-called "Deep State," or even maintaining a semblance of Christian values.
All they care about is their own rage.
"Pwn the libtards!"
This is their moment for revenge.
This is their moment to demolish Big Government bureaucracy and replace it with The Disunited Regime of Trump.
They see their election victory in 2024 as a mandate to tear everything up and remake America into a comical empire that the whole world fears, from the "woke" globalists to the RuZZian and Chinese imperialists.
And they claim that they'll pay any price and suffer any economic hardship just for the privilege of "pwning the libtards." It's childish and immature, but then again, their leaders are the same exact way.
Gaslighting
This thread is a perfect example.
"You lost. Get over it."
"You're wrong. You're always wrong."
"You suffer from TDS."
"You're too obsessed with Musk."
Every time someone points out some dumbass move by Trump, or dares to criticize our new Dear Leader, their responses eventually end up the same way. Accuse the other side of being crazy.
It's getting old, and we're only into week #3 of the Trump 2.0 regime.
White Rage
I was going to title this post "White Rage," but then I remembered one of my least favorite movies of the 1990's called Falling Down:

Michael Douglas played a very despicable anti-hero who is upset at his own negative circumstances. He lost his job, lost his wife, and at the start of the movie, lost his car air conditioning while stuck in Los Angeles traffic on a hot day.
Poor baby then goes on a two hour white man meltdown, starting with a Korean store owner (yes, this is the reason why I hated the movie), and moving on toward other ethnic minorities in south L.A. Overall, he takes his murderous rampage out on liberal society.
I'm not sure whether to feel sorry for the main character or feel glad that, in the end, he got what he deserved. If I'm supposed to feel sorry for him, then no, I don't. Not in the slightest. A middle class white man with all the "privileges" afforded to a guy like that feels like the whole "woke" world (before "woke" even became a thing) is against him?
Boo fuckin' hoo. I saw nothing but a man-baby having a temper tantrum.
But Falling Down was also a very good movie in terms of illustrating "white rage" for the first time on mainstream cinema. And I get it. It's a very defining moment and a critical look at American society, especially one that just got through the Rodney King riots.
Falling Down 2025
That's how I feel about Trump and MAGA. I see nothing more than man-babies, just like Michael Douglas' character in the movie.
Only this time, instead of a gun (and a rocket launcher), these man-babies have the entire federal government at their disposal.
And they won't stop until they self-destruct in a blaze of glory.
