Motorola to reduce output of (DRAM)

Motorola Plans to Produce Chips for Modems in Japan

Motorola Inc. of the U.S. will make chips in Japan for use
in modems for computers, the Nihon Keizai newspaper reported,
without citing sources. The company will make the chips at two
plants and begin sales in the first half of 1998. Motorola aims
to increase production of such chips while reducing output of
dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips, the newspaper said.
