That was the best news of the call.

At Needam he said in the nearer term they were focused on grocery, and he personally was focusing on RAIN RFID detection at the consumer level. He hit both of those again. He sounded like enterprise level for mobile phone readers of RAIN RFID may not be so far off...just the way he said it. I will listen again.

As for Q1 - sounded like it could be a 2Q issue

Miss is a combo of things
  • Fear of tariffs shortening purchasing cycles as retailers look for suppliers less impacted by tariffs
  • End of the install/ramp for the large European customer
  • UPS moving away from Amazon (this may have impacted sensor installations too, but they were vague)
  • Something about the partner chain between them and the enterprise competing for who gets the sticker or label bonding business.

I am going to see this as a buying opportunity but they do need to deliver on grocery!
