Kroger is the freshness/perishable grocer and since they are already creating in-store labels for those types of items adding RFID is something that can happen at a fairly quick pace. So that is the opportunity that could start to see volumes in 2H25. Impinj is working directly with them but there really isn't much to solve here. They told us about being able to read stacked items was a challenge but other than that we are just talking about taking inventory.

The second grocer is talking self-checkout, the holy grail. That involves a lot of challenges and would need direct involvement from Impinj, much like the European retailer. I've seen it live in Barcelona and London with Decathlon. Works like a charm, but they need to solve getting tags on all the varying food items, the varying packaging. Hopefully we can get some investigative reporting to discover who this is, but the fact a major grocer is pursuing this is monumental!!!
