JPN; That is the 10 largest caps in the DJI 30..weighted by market
cap..vs the 20 Smaller ones weighted via market cap..choping the
down in half..10/20 doesn't really spilt it..the top 10 have
so much more cap than the bottom 20 ..large caps represent a
bigger vote..but that can be masked by the smaller cap gains
being comingled in..at times holding up the index as the funds
slip out of the mega caps, the index is price senitive but not
cap or volume sensitive..so it can tell you a big lie.
The S&P is weightede , and a better indicator but it's a bit
too broad..to tell if the Mega caps fall,
You see I've found they fall first..( some )..any major change
starts and stops with them, they don't later dive as fast or as
deep, as the small ones..nor do they run up as fast..
well at first they do, as they often start up while the little
ones keep falling, but mostly mega caps set the direction.
