I had a case involving Chinese structural steel to be used in a high rise in Guatemala City. The client somehow was behind the truck delivering the steel. A bar fell out of the truck and shattered like a Saltine cracker stepped on by a jackboot. The steel was supposed to be able to be safely used in a highly active seismic zone (like Guatemala). He tested the rest of it, including some which had already been installed, and found out it was crap.

We filed suit and, yes, won a good settlement.
