It's odd. I know lots of chit now about business. If I tried to get a job now, it would be a big tadoo to see if I was suitable or not. I am happy to be retired now though.

When I was a twenty something though, I had dozens of guys phoning me up every week offering me jobs for lots more money. It was dial your own salary really.

Not exactly sure why, but young people get offered the jobs. They do have a lot more energy, if you are married and have responsibilities they like you too.

It's down to who those guys are being guided by. I doubt it would be Musk. The intermediate layer is where to look. I have no doubt that Musk's organization will be "flat". There will not be much of an hierarchy.

There is some truth in this statement though.

I recently relearned this adage when I ordered a Table Saw with Table from Amazon. It was a big item, and got shipped from a long way away. It arrived and it was sans table. I reordered after saying I was sent the wrong order, and they repeated the exact same mistake. Finally, after getting the items returned and credited, I re ordered from a local tool specialist company. It was cheaper, and they sent me what I ordered.


All sorts of stuff coming my way on X these days.
