| | | re STK: I prefer a monthly payer with a higher distribution rate
Oh I like Higher Yielding Monthly Payers too..... It's why I own 15 different Monthly Payers, all of which sport a higher yield than STK. But unlike many CEF investors, I don't go in & out of them, trying to time my buys with opportunistic Yields/Discounts. That's akin to going in & out of individual stocks based on market sentiment and macro factors.
My K.I.S.S. investing prefers to own a few select ETFs, CEFs & Stocks (currently 40 total) that require as little maintenance as possible, and holding them for the long term. No doubt I'm sacrificing some Pct. Points in TR vs. an investor who is deftly moving in & out. But quite honestly, I lack both the interest & investing acumen to carry that out consistently, or successfully.
STK fits the K.I.S.S. bill nicely..... Offers me broad exposure to some of the best tech, as well as tech that is not discussed in these Forums on a daily basis, along with a nice Yield..... While I just kick back & enjoy my Retirement.
Among CEFs, hard to top STK's TR since its inception in Nov 2009, so I prefer to stick with them, regardless of Mr. Market's mood swings. |
