I don't see government "funding" more jobs going forward. There should be zero new government hires except for essential talent (as in air traffic control, for a good example). Anyone hired at this point should understand it may not become career (it likely cannot). The idea of career professionals will become more and more rare. Life is changing. Government can't hire everyone like used to.
