| | | Re: RETIREMENT PORTFOLIO ... Updated 02/09/2025
Retirement Portfolio objectives:
This portfolio wants to focus on income with a growth element. Ideally, I would like to have the Chowder Number around 10.0, that gives me a nice up front yield with respectable dividend growth going forward.
Dividends and distributions are what fund this portfolio.
This person is still working, his wife is as well, and they both have 401K's and real estate other than their primary address in addition to this rollover portfolio. I only manage the rollover, not their other investments. ======================================

In this portfolio, a starter position size is 0.3% of the portfolio value and I will add to them from there, provided they go up in price. I'm not looking to average down on these small positions.
Note how most of the CEF's are the smallest holdings. I would prefer to own 2 to 3 times more CEF's at a small percentage than to own a few as a large sized position. I want to spread income risk since we know that most CEF's will cut their distribution, but not at the same time. |
