I think that the bonds were a private placement, so it is already a done deal. TMAR is indeed a good buy at the moment, but longer term HMAR has a higher prospective growth rate, although the low stock price may put a damper on growth.

As for Saddam blowing up HMAR's boats, I don't think he has the military capability or the inclination. With his limited military capability at the moment, I'm sure he has many more politically important targets.
