If your talking American muscle I can name a few

Is there any other? :-)

Thanks for your comments, one question though concerning this --

5)Avoid California-smogged cars. They generally have more anti-smog/carburation restrictions post 1966.

Would it be hard to undo that damage? Hmmm I wonder if even some carbs are legal in Cal? Not to mention manifolds etc etc. Here (Salt Lake City) I'm connected as I can get anything past emissions or safety :) Not that I would ever skimp on safety..

I keep thinking of getting a car in Cal but anywhere where they don't salt the roads would do. Every so often a nice Muscle car shows up locally but they are usually imported from somewhere. Rust never sleeps! But if one is smart they'll never drive their car in the snow.

I agree a convertible would be nice and those performance figures you quoted are amazing!

455 440HP, 510ft-lb torque How many G's? :-) There is nothing better at a stop light with a yahoo next to you in an Eclipse or something wanting to race. The thrill of knowing you'll see em in your rear view mirror in quick order! Just the thought is satisfying enough for me, gotta watch those exhibition of speed tickets ya know.
