Hold em, It is 10 times better than draw.

The common cards dramatically increases the action!

Before Hold em, low ball was the most common poker game in California.

Only the poorest players played draw.

I earned my way through college playing low ball in San Jose.

There were a ton of clubs.

Low Ball was so easy to beat, because it had a simple trick i.e. you can only stand pat or draw ONE card.

You cannot draw more than one card and win, but in home games they will draw three-lol! Odds will not allow you to win, but they love to "squeeze it out"!

A true story: I was the first one in our gang to join the hippies and I was shunned!! And could not play in the college poker game.

So I was forced to go down town and play with the professionals. The college kids were afraid to play down there.

Well, they taught me how to play the game and six months later when the hippies were accepted I was let back into the game and won all the money in the house in one week.

Pat Dempster asked me to not come to the games any more-lol!!
