Darn the bad news, Bill! Trump says interest rates should be lowered to go ‘hand in hand’ with his tariffs (CNBC) This is a stupid thing to say given that inflation was just revealed to be higher than expected. It's almost like Trump KNOWS tariffs will represent a drag on the economy, which is why he wants Powell to make up for it. The problem is that the combination of higher prices AND an economic slowdown induced by dumbass policies leads to STAGFLATION. And if that isn't giving Trump nightmares, then the Copium he's smoking is more powerful than I thought. Tenchusatsu
