Robert, <<I think you should just put your INTC stock away and assume that your current view will be true ten years from now.>>

That's exactly what I plan on doing. As for CYRX not being viable. I suggest you look at their financials. Earnings have been sequentially lower 5 of the last 6 quarters. In total they have lost money over the past 5 quarters. Last quarter's loss was staggering. They have never been weaker. My statement that no one wants CYRX and AMD inside is backed by the fact that not one, zero, nada, zilch, 1st tier OEM PC vendor has signed a contract with CYRX. Yet, one of their highest level marketing executives after acknowledging this fact said "we are not hurting for customers". Hmmm....some management. All though they do represent some competition, competition from AMD and CYRX have never been weaker. That's why Intel has felt it can scale back the usual systematic price cuts they use to provide. Price alone will never dictate success. There are plenty of examples in the tech world of companies coming on the scene with price advantages (some with excellent products) and weren't able to penetrate a well established loyal market. In addition, CYRX chips have problems. They have been well documented in trade magazines. Heat and compatability are the too biggest concerns. Finally, CYRX's chip does preform better on selected tests. This in no way implies that overall performance is better. BTW, have you noticed that INTC's margins have been improving over the past few quarters. Hmmmm....and in the face of theoretically more competition. What a company.

I have said this at least 10 times on this thread; I sincerely hope AMD and CYRX can survive. Competition is good for the industry, good for consumers, and good for Intel.
