Pete Hegseth, Defense Secretary, just announced in Brussels at a press conference that the U.S. isn't prepared to face Russia, particularly at sea. He claims it would take over seven years to build the necessary ships.
Hardly a month into his term, Hegseth has already weakened America's global reputation.

I don't know where he gets the notion that the U.S. isn't prepared to face RuZZia at sea, since RuZZia's Black Sea fleet can't even survive against a country with no navy.

What ships is the U.S. Navy missing anyway?

The brand new anti-woke carriers?

How about those new AEGIS cruisers that have been from the ground up without DEI?

Or maybe we need better drone and anti-drone vessels, the kind that is staffed with young drone operators who boosted Musk's Path of Exile 2 accounts?
