Your well executed on-line retailer links page indicates multiple weeks worth of Zip PP drives in stock at most of the outfits (20k-30k in stock). External SparQ inventories look very drained in comparison, with only 6 available at two of the retailers, and some others with no SparQ inventory at all. And it looks as if SparQ discs are also very hard to come by.

If Syquest is able to ramp up SparQ production to where it can better fill demand, it will pressure Iomega's bottom line even more-- and cause even more concern among investors and analysts by the resulting drop in IOM share price.

On a side note, a certain glee seems to fill the air here every time someone adds another one of those variations of "let's see how much Syquest is losing on each drive sold." This is not reason to celebrate for Iomaniacs. Syquest dilutes its stock, still stays in business, and pumps out drive after drive that takes away $$$ from Iomega. Syquest has, and can do this for a long time.

The only thing Syquest offers right now, are drives that are superior to Iomega's, and lower in price as well.
