A a formal employee of I do know that Merck has two Cox-2 compounds in development. The first one is being developed for speed to market and the second is an improvement. My understanding is that they will be released at about the same time. Pfizer will promote Monsanto's so they will be competitive with Merck. But it is a big market. Some day, this will be a huge over the counter market as well.
