Falcon, I already apologized to you in my last post. We are crossing apologies here. Enough said by both of us. I know what you mean, by the way, about stress and blowing off steam. My real point about Ciena is not the company, but the technology. ASND started with an ISP product, RAS. It moved to a RBOC/CLEC product, ATM. Pretty much all of its moves have been in the WAN arena. The next logical step for ASND in the WAN sector is from electronic switching to optical switching and data transfer. The existing players in this segment include some of those that ASND currently competes against, like LU and NT. Furthermore, they are selling to ASND's very customers, like WCOM and T. Therefore, I don't understand why ASND would not want to participate in this activity. CIEN is not going to sell to ASND. But I do think that ASND should be, and may well be, exploring this market segment. Gary Korn P.S. Never look back at an old post that you wrote. It will make you cringe.
