Was the obnoxious caller Randy from San Francisco? Frequent caller
Randy from S.F., incontestably, in my view, out of all of Bob's thou-
sands of callers, takes sole claim to the title of "most loathsomely
unctuous and irksome know-it-all." Indeed, I am wont to turn down
the volume on the radio set whenever this painfully longwinded and
infinitely obnoxious Randy posits his uninspired and insipid drivel.

For some time, I have marveled at Brinker's tolerance of this con-
stant caller. Verily, Brinker appears to relish his calls. For all my
years of listening to Brinker, this latter phenomenon remains, for
me, a deep and abiding, if not unfathomable, mystery.
