The families of Russian soldiers who die in combat are entitled to a death gratuity, funeral arrangements, and military benefits.
Which is why all too often these soldiers end up being listed as "missing" instead of KIA.

That way, the state can avoid having to pay these benefits.

Of course, it doesn't happen all the time. Enough of these benefits must be paid in order to convince poor RuZZian families to keep sending their sons and husbands into the meat grinder.

But it's happening more and more, especially as RuZZia finds it difficult to keep up with the rising costs of their sPeCiAl mIlItArY oPeRaTiOn.
