After enduring up to 40cm of snow last week, a huge swath of Canada stretching from Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean received another dump of 30-70 cm over the weekend. Luckily there is no sign of warm weather that could melt all the snow at once and cause flooding, except maybe later this week in the Maritimes.

Meanwhile, another large swath from northern BC through to Manitoba is emerging from life threatening cold with temperatures as low as -50C

And out here on the Left Coast we are into a constant string of warm systems bearing rain. With all the melting you'd hardly know we'd recently been buries in snow for more than a week.
