I think you are being generous when you describe the partnerships as "strong".

O.K. I admit that perhaps I believe everything I read :-)

An excerpt from David Intersimone's Fire Hose column date 9/26/97,
(bold face just to impress shane)

Your Borland Product Investment Is Secure

I came away from PDC97 with a better understanding about Microsoft directions for NT, Windows 9x, Internet Exporer, COM+, DirectX, and the many system services and APIs that developers will be able to take advantage of to solve those tough distributed computing problems. It was also fun to see another vendor's conference and gain some insights for future Borland Conference planning. With Borland sharing the tools keynote stage on Friday, you should feel secure that your investment in Borland is safe and that we are a strong partner with Microsoft. We will be very timely with our support for all of the new Microsoft technologies and solutions to help solve your business needs. And of course, Borland also has strong partnerships with Oracle, IBM, Netscape, Sun and the many other IT leaders you use to build enterprise solutions.

Anyway, I still stand by my prediction. And at the end of the year, I'll donate $10 to the Red Cross if I'm wrong, and a $100 if I'm right. Thanks for your input.

Regards,
