Tesla have about a zero chance of overcoming British Road Safety standards. Even if suitably modified, the cops will be stopping them every 50 miles just to check up on them. EV weight is an issue too, especially the Cybertruck. Road damage goes up as a cube of the axle weight. That is why UK freight trucks have such high road taxes, and why freight trucks have so many wheels and axles. The axle vibration wear and tear will apply the bridges and overpasses as well. To an extent that will be true of passenger cars as there are a lot more cars then trucks. Not seen any discussion on that as yet. Looks to be 300kg to 400kg normally.
